Preparing for Your Session:

What To Wear:

Be the best version of yourself. Wear something that makes you feel good.

There are a few different ways to approach your wardrobe choices. You can choose to wear something that will tell something about you and your personality, go classic, or somewhere in between.

For group shots, more often than not it's a good idea to at least coordinate the colors of everyone's outfits. This means that everyone will be wearing the same type of bottoms (ie: jeans, khakis, or black pants etc.), and then either wear the same color shirts, colors that work well together, or varying shades of the same color. Dark jeans are always flattering.

Location Sessions:

Here are some tips to keep in mind when booking your session:

If we are shooting in or around your home, I am looking for a room with an abundance of natural light (double doors and picture windows work well) or outdoors. Light from a window, the shade of a big tree, or the gentle brilliance of the sunset create beautiful images.

If you choose another location, and have a specific spot in mind, we will schedule your session based on the time of day that will provide us with the best light. If it's just a general area of town you have in mind, I can usually find a good spot within that area where the light is right.
